Climbing

The birthplace of mountaineering as we know it today, Chamonix needs no introduction to climbers. From the chalet, you can pick out famous routes up the awe-inspiring face of the Dru and the towering spires of the Aiguilles de Chamonix, or go bouldering on the Pierre d'Orthaz in the foot (and finger) prints of some of the world's finest climbers. Climbing at any level is possible here, from quick introductory courses on rock or ice climbing to the grand classics of the Walker Spur or the Triolet. The sky is, quite literally, the limit.

Mountain Biking

Chamonix mountain biking is spectacular - rugged, rocky, natural trails that corkscrew through deep pine woods, past dizzying drops or fly through beautiful high mountain meadows. There's lift accessed descents for downhillers, challenging cross country terrain in awe-inspiring surroundings, or gentle family rides on quiet paths on the flat valley floor. You can store your bikes in the shed for extra security.
